What is excess car insurance?
Your car rental agreement usually includes cover for Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft. You are still liable though, for the excess on both CDW and Theft. When a rental car is damaged or stolen, the driver is asked to pay a portion of the repair or replacement costs. This is known as Car Hire Excess. With insurance4carhire, you are covered not only for the total amount of excess but also for damage to the roof, windows, tyres and undercarraige of the car.
